Hi Everyone,
I’m trying a new thing. It’s an informative email.
Here’s the info: Leaf blowers, noise, exhaust, fumes, and the Village of East Hampton. Neither myself nor the fellas like the noise or the fumes. We’re pretty sure you don’t either … or maybe you do. I’ve been researching battery-powered electric blowers and string trimmers, and although they don’t have the power, I think there’s good application for them for lighter-duty tidy-up work. So if you see us using some different equipment, it’s all good. Simultaneously, the Village of East Hampton must be getting complaints about the blower noise, as they held a work session to address it which I and several other landscape company representatives attended. Topics discussed: Seasonal noise (Memorial Day – Labor Day), storm clean ups, Spring and Fall work, the high level of care that the landscape community provides for the residents and overall residents’ wellbeing. The Mayor and Trustees thanked us for our attendance and encouraged us to be in attendance at the Public Hearing, which I intend to attend and bring notes to share my views. I hope you find this helpful. I’ll send out another soon.
Best, Bill
